The previous author stated that facing this mob after it popped up causes it to feign death again. From what I have seen, this is not the case, and I have in fact been able to DPS it down without it feigning death.

I've without assistance of the party, if that matters: the mob was attacking me with its spells, id est, I was the primary aggro target, no one else attacked it (I running a few yards back to attack it, so it'd feign death again, and was actually surprised that it didn't). If I recall correctly, I also received heals from the healer at some point in the fight. The fact that I was ranged might also matter - I stood probably 35-40 yds away from the mob. A quick assumption would be that too many attacking this mob may cause it to feign death, and that only one person hitting it does not. Someone at wowhead also talked about range may play a role.
