Inconsistency
In the comic panel shown on this page, he appears to be a chromatic drake rather than a black one. Which one is canon? Xavius, the Satyr Lord 10:38, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
- It's just the lighter color palette that the comic used. He's definitely a black. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 10:40, November 26, 2009 (UTC)
- Purple is the new black. (Sssss/Slithered) 05:12, November 30, 2009 (UTC)
- Look at the "Kalarancomic" image again, Zeratul. That's a distinctly purple hue, identical to the one found on chromatics. He doesn't have the usual cyan highlights, but that's not a black dragon. Xavius, the Satyr Lord 20:07, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
- I've got the comic itself. He's black. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 20:13, December 7, 2009 (UTC)
- If that is the case, the image needs to be reuploaded or replaced with a more accurate one. Xavius, the Satyr Lord 14:22, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
- The image in the comic itself is exactly like the one you see there. It's not a matter of bad image quality, or of a retcon of kalaran's nature, it's simply a case of artistic stylization. Jet black doesn't show up very well in print. Even in Wow, black dragons are hardly black.Warthok Talk Contribs 16:36, December 10, 2009 (UTC)

Do you read comics or do you usually look pictures only? :P In the previous page after backstabbing the human form of Kalaran Vareesa says: "A black dragon!" Thus what is he? ;) --N'Nanz (talk) 16:53, December 10, 2009 (UTC)
- I have not read the comic in question, no (even though I wouldn't mind getting my hands on it). I am simply speaking of what the picture shows, which is a dragon of purplish color. If it is indeed stated in the comic that he is a black, then I'll simply have to assume it was a very odd coloring mistake. If they had wanted to color it black, there are many less confusing shades. The one on Kalaran's claws, for example. Xavius, the Satyr Lord 22:03, December 11, 2009 (UTC)
Not even Onyxia and her brood is black in the comics (in truth nor in WoW). Thus Warthok hypothesis is truely plausible. --N'Nanz (talk) 22:26, December 11, 2009 (UTC)
