This sounds fishy: 

   Tech Bot spawns a critter named "Dupe Bug", a reference to a Diablo II bug.

For that matter, there used to be a couple dupe bugs in WoW. It could just be a reference to the fact that dupe bugs seem to inevitably show up in any online game with items. That at least fits in with the "technical support" and "game error" theme of his other comments. --Brommon 16:00, 28 March 2006 (EST)
Actually, a dupe bug is, in most games, a bug that allows you to duplicate items. Diablo II seems pretty infamous for dupe bugs (which is how the rather nice ring Stone of Jordan, which is a tremendously rare drop, became the effective currency of the game). Pdpinheiro 14:12, 30 April 2006 (EDT)


I'm convinced the duo Edrick Killian and Mattie Alred wandering around Undercity refers to George Killian's Irish Red Lager. mmmm beer.

Can anyone confirm that the troll joke was removed due to copyright infringement? It was in fact removed, but probably not due to copyright infringement. This seems odd because such use falls under the category of fair use, and is not a violation of copyright. Much more likely, it was removed due to the reference to drugs. I'll change the article to say unknown reasons until someone can confirm the reason. --Nyquill 20:11, 21 September 2006 (EDT)


We know there are many references inside the game to things not associated with the game. I propose we create an article that discusses references made about World of Warcraft in outside outlets of media. There's already been references to the game in television shows such as Stargate: Atlantis, How I Met Your Mother, Moonlight and even an entire episode of South Park devoted to the game. Not to mention a car commercial centered on the gameplay. Think it's only appropriate we set up this sort of article. --Faulin 16:35, 21 December 2007 (UTC)

"This Old Lighthouse"

I cannot reasonably believe that the quest title "This Old Lighthouse" is anything but a reference to the television show with the like name, "This Old House" Are the references listed in these pages ones that were confirmed by Blizzard employees, or do they include reasonable connections such as this one? --Zanthra 04:41, 13 March 2008 (UTC)

Header?

Should there be added a transcludable page header to all of the main subpages to keep the current consistency? Most of the pages are consistent as it is, and a simple copy and paste would work for bit that is not currently, but I just want to keep it that way. Is it really needed? The pages have lasted this long without a problem.--SWM2448 22:24, 1 August 2008 (UTC)

Dune
