Pentacle

What does the pentacle have to do with this place, and isn't the picture used for the dragon isles too? There's nothing on pentacle on this page. I think it is a reference to a group of islands in Northern Europe that when connected also form a pentacle. I can't remember the islands or what the formation is called.Mr.X8 00:25, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

Pentagram, and it is an generaly evil symbol that would fit the old gods. The dragon isles thing should go.--SWM2448 00:28, 7 August 2007 (UTC)

If pentagram points upwards, it´s just a sign of magic, if it points downwards, it´s a sign of evil. And the picture is here just because it shows the locations of Old Gods.

Frankly the whole section doesn't belong in the article, its just baseless speculation, with very little evidence to support it. It would be fine in the talk page, but not the article itself.Baggins 19:58, 21 October 2007 (UTC)

Speculation

No idea what prompted this removal, but this speculation is quite old and quite valid. Both islands have a very similar shape and are located mostly on the same areas. --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image.png (talk) 00:48, 11 August 2023 (UTC)

I didn't remove it because it's old, but because even if the two islands actually look alike via the RPG books, the canonical version added in the comics has nothing to do with it, the island doesn't have the same form, has no confirmation of being in the same area/sea, etc... So I judged the speculation outdated more than wrong, since it was wrote at a time were the rpg books were still canon. However, If you're interested, we can always take it back and make a note of it? Unless you really want to undo my edit, in which case I wouldn't insist, it's not that bad either to leave it! Never, editors should always compromise. It's simply that, without taking into account its comic depiction, Plunder Isle and Hiji do have similar shapes in maps shown in different books and in WoW, and both islands have never been referred to in the same book, plus, they are both located in the southeastern part of the South Seas. That's the why of the speculation, that at one point in development they were likely the same place. Years later they would release the comic and whatnot. I guess we could rephrase so it starts that both islands in their RPG depictions and early WoW looked similar. At the end of the day, Hiji is just an RPG location for the time being. Who knows what they may add in the future, even if they end up being the same place or different locations. --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image.png (talk) 16:26, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
No problem, I agree with this reasoning! What do you think of this rephrasing? --> "In the Warcraft RPG, it seems to share the same general shape as Plunder Isle and roughly the same location. If it is intended to be the same island, it is likely either the name of a small island off the coast of Plunder Isle, and/or the original troll name for Plunder Isle itself." I went ahead, but if you can improve my wording xD Lately I feel my English is becoming rusty... More or less I've written the same excluding the troll naming since there's no evidence whatsoever for that. --Ryon21 Ryon21 Signature Image.png (talk) 16:41, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
No no it's perfect, thanks you for your advices! WardsJames (talk) 16:43, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
