Scourge, Forsaken, or something else?

I notice that Fairbanks is categorized as a forsaken but also as scarlet crusade. I am now wondering if the undead mobs (GY wing/Fairbanks) are considered to be Scourge, Forsaken or a 3rd category consisting of former scarlet crusade members who still are faithful to the crusade. If anyone can help with the lore surrounding their origin/state of being, that'd be great. Thank you in advance. --Tiko 10:25, 25 October 2006 (EDT)

Fairbanks certainly is not a Forsaken, he's just a poor guy who seemingly catched himself the Plague of Undeath during his last mission with Mograine the Ashbringer. As for the undead mobs at the graveyard - the Crusaders, unlike the Argent Dawn, do not tolerate undead amongst their ranks. I'd say they're either free-willed or Scourge, much like Fairbanks. Hard to say what would be correct. Tulon 21:10, 21 March 2007
Actually technically the term "forsaken" is more or less used for any undead (human or elf) that has gained free-will from the Scourge, regardless if they are actually affiliated with the Forsaken or not, at least in the RPG.Baggins 11:29, 6 January 2008 (UTC)

Sorethumbsonline

The name Fairbanks is probably inspired by one of the characters of the webcomic Sore Thumbs. Fairbanks is a young conservative patriotic christian who once killed 2 people for looking suspicious (arab?). --Starkad 17:33, 31 December 2006 (EST)

Cured?

In the Ashbringer event is he cured or brought back as a redeemed ghost?--SWM2448 19:55, 26 September 2007 (UTC)

That's what I was wondering to. I always thought it was his ghost that appeared. Also, if he is cured, where does he go? Warchiefthrall 22:04, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

To become a ghost would mean he had to have been "killed" first. That is to have his undead body killed.Baggins 11:29, 6 January 2008 (UTC)
What about Ras Frostwhisper? --WarlockSoL (talk) 21:14, 23 May 2008 (UTC)
I guess he is in the same form as when you do a normal SM run. Undead. CogHammer.gif Ose t/c 21:23, 23 May 2008 (UTC)

Legion

[1] & [2]
He present in Legion? --Mordecay (talk) 12:37, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
Not that I know of... Xporc (talk) 12:43, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Ghost category

Yep, but his ghost appearance is no longer in the game. I thought that like with removed mobs, the <zone> mobs category shouldn't be there. --Mordecay (talk) 14:39, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Well technically, a removed quilboar mob no longer appears in the game as a quilboar either, but I still think he should appear in that racial category... Xporc (talk) 14:45, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
I think we generally remove "category:zone mobs/NPCs" for removed appearances, but have gained enough interest in keeeping racial categories of past, present and near future apearances. PeterWind (talk) 00:06, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
Oke. Will try to remember that. --Mordecay (talk) 00:30, 29 July 2017 (UTC)
