Before any replacing is to be done, it needs to be official. We shouldn't get hasty from just one screenshot. On the other hand, I don't think it would be objected to create a page such as Cockatrice to mention that the Hawkstrider is more than likely going to be the official mount. There is a confirmation via screenshots though that the Dragonhawk is a Hunter Pet. If it is a flying mount or not is still up in the air. Hawkstriders are as official as they're going to get. I'm in the beta, I've seen people riding them. I've got some shots of the mount to upload, as well. I really think this page should be merged with the Hawkstrider page. --DarkRyder 13:15, 17 October 2006 (EDT)

Lol @ the chocobo referance... (The onomatopoeia for a chocobo's call is "Kue" (クエ) in the original Japanese versions and is sometimes transliterated as "Kweh" in the English translation, or alternately replaced by "Wark.") thats the same thing i thought the 1st time i saw them... I loath this dumb evil chocobo mount designed to cater to the final fantasy punk kids. The dev who put them in needs to be fired without severance, in fact he should have to pay for the administration costs of processing his firing. I'm gonna get a wolf mount, happy in the knowledge I dont look like a complete plonk. --Nurizeko

First of all...if you're playing a blood elf, good luck with not looking "like a complete plonk."

Chocobo

I'd think it would be hilarious if (on April 1) blizzard added a client side sound effect everytime the player mounts up on one of these. Viewed White Hawkstrider on Lightbringer

I couldn't catch the gnome fast enough for a screenshot but I can confirm seeing a White Hawkstrider in Iron Forge on LB. Solid white and much prettier than the ones the Blood Elves ride, especially with a small white-haired gnome riding it. A pity gnomes weren't given these instead of Mechanostriders(aka Farting Chickens) in the first place.

I can only ASSUME it is a reward or drop from QD like the Phoenix Hatchling from Magister's Terrace. Hopefully, someone else, especially someone who knows the owner can post a shot of the bird soon.
