I've heard that his chromatic guards can have immunity to a school of magic, and can't always be chain feared. Can anyone confirm, or is it another case of people not knowing how to do UBRS ? --Morbid-o 14:15, 5 May 2006 (EDT)

They are immune to shadow damage, but not to fear. However, they resist to the fear quite a bit so the warlock will only be able to throw DoTs around on the mobs and not exactly DPS on them, as the warlock will need to start casting her fear while the first one is still active in case it resists.
The guards can one-shot crit clothies. You NEED two tanks on Drak. Will be trying to take him without a hunter today, so will see how it goes. Boppu 23:30, 3 June 2006 (EDT)
Tried taking Drakkisath the other day with 2 warriors and no hunter, and it wasn't possible. I'm thinking this encounter just can't be done safely without a skilled level 60 hunter kiting him outside. It seems you could take him with 4 warriors, 1 on each guard and 2 on drak, but I wouldn't recommend it as it would be a severe reduction in DPS.

The other day, we were able to down drak with no hunters or warlocks or priests....It was ugly, but it is possible. 2 prot warriors, 1 arms warrior, 1 rogue, 2 mages, 2 druids, and 2 shaman...However to get the last 10% of him down, the mages used ice bolt, then blink and ran him around, and the shaman (resto) keep them up (everyone else was dead and had a lvl 58 mage in the group). The mages were ping ponging the aggro back and forth. this route is not recommended [Kraydo]
