This spell overrides Thorns Aura I think. Need confirmation.--Hobinheim 11:41, 21 November 2006 (EST)

spell damage bonus

Is a character's spell damage added to this? For example: I have 20 bonus spell damage. At level 29 would I output 27 fire damage when attacked? Trogdor 15:07, 25 June 2007 (UTC)

First off, the spell belongs to your pet. If it did take any bonus from spell damage it would be from him. Second, no it doesn't. If they did let it benefit from spell damage it wouldn't be 100% for each strike, my guess would be a very small coefficient, somewhere around 10-20%.
Short Answer, no it doesn't.

I suspect that it doesn't scale at all, and based on testing with my level 67 warlock, I can confrim that, as of patch 3.2.2, its' spell power coefficient cannot be higher than 1%. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 01:17, September 30, 2009 (UTC)
Further testing at level 70 indicates that its' coefficient is around 1%. Someone with a better geared, higher level warlock could get more precise scaling information. -- Gordon Ecker (talk) 05:31, December 8, 2009 (UTC)
