according to the World of Warcraft game guide Emeriss is a Female
- We need a better citation than that. I haven't fought Emeriss in a while so I can't remember how the quotes sound, male or female voice. But people seemed to think that Emeriss was a male for some reason...Baggins (talk) 17:32, 27 September 2008 (UTC)
- GG, your sig is an eyesore. "The guide" is not a citation, page numbers, and the name of the guide are needed. Emeriss is not necesarily a girls name I knew a few men named Emeriss (or similar spelling). I think it comes from "Merlin", a type of hawk.Baggins (talk) 03:32, 28 September 2008 (UTC)
Name
I suspect this dragon was named after two things:
- a) emeralds, and
- b) Dinas Emrys, a hill in Wales that has a dragon-centric myth in which a red dragon from Wales defeats a white dragon from Saxony, and both were imprisoned under the mountain to protect the world from their feud.
Just putting it here because I'm not putting it in the article unless I'm sure someone won't change it back citing "bias", "assumptions", "opinion over facts" or something to that beat. --MadHatter121 (talk) 01:22, 12 October 2013 (UTC)
