Beginning with 3.1 these emblems will drop in Ulduar 10. A question frequently asked is: can we buy tier 8(10) items with these emblems, thus: should we keep them until the patch comes out? I could not find an answer yet and would love to see the answer included in the article for everybody to be sure. Tneshi (talk) 10:07, 1 April 2009 (UTC)

As far as I know " No " you will not be able to buy [ Tier 8 ] (10) items with  [Emblem of Valor].

 [Emblem of Heroism] buys item level 200 pieces [ Tier 7 ] (10) items.

 [Emblem of Valor] buys item level 213 pieces [ Tier 7 ] (25) items.

<normal mode> Ulduar (10) is going to be the wierd raid instance, because it is going to drop  [Emblem of Valor] item level 213, as well as the tokens for item level 219 [ tier 8 ] (10) items.

• <Normal Hard mode> bosses will drop item level 232 [ tier 8 (10.5) items.

Complicated yet? It gets worse.

<heroic mode> Ulduar (25) will drop  [Emblem of Conquest] and tokens so that you will be able to buy item level 226 pieces [ Tier 8 ] (25) items.

• <Heroic Hard mode> bosses will drop item level 239 [ tier 8 ] (25.5) items.

Leave it to Blizzard to complicate things?
