A Darnassus (nation)-page

Like the Gnomeregan (nation)-example to supplement Gnomeregan (faction), I wanted to do the same for this nation. However, it strikes me that such a page would be odd. Firstly, the night elf nation has been around in its current form far longer than their capital of Darnassus - and they continue to be around now that they lost Darnassus.

Would this page be describing all of their ancient history with Azshara etc., or would it simply start with the construction of Darnassus? And the follow-up question: would it end with the destruction of Darnassus? --Amargaard (talk) 10:22, 1 July 2019 (UTC)

My guess is since everyone was "sleeping" in some way, the nation just kinda begun after the Battle for Mount Hyjal when they allied with the Alliance and built their capital. Either way, there's not much in the Long Vigil era apart from a few wars so I guess there could be some mention of it but everything before the Sundering should be just briefly mentioned since that era is part of the Kaldorei Empire and Rebellion. And that their capital fell, at least right now, doesn't make the nation gone so it is still here. And there's should also be a distinction with the race page. In this case we already have different groups like the nelves in Northernd and the Broken Isles or the separation of the helves. --Ryon21 (talk) 12:49, 1 July 2019 (UTC)
Creating such a page would seem unwise considering we actually don't know shit about the night elven government. I wouldn't bother doing more than update the current night elf page. Xporc (talk) 07:27, 2 July 2019 (UTC)

I went ahead and did it anyway. Go see it for yourselves, and do with it as you please. --Amargaard (talk) 22:35, 8 September 2019 (UTC)

Classic WoW references

There should be a reference to the time before the sundering (Asuna) where the Night Elves made their primary home. A great deal of Classic WoW came out of the pre-sundering times, which were, at the time, clothed in mystery. Now we can look back and state, very clearly, about the ancient origins of Darnassus The lifestyles of the elves, their spiritual perception of things, all of their unique culture, came out pre-sundering times. Classic WoW speaks to very little of the pre-sundering times. The night elves, at least this is their culture, have been around for at least 10000 years before the Classic WoW time span. When I think of cross-references of elves, I think of the undead High Elves of Stone Talon Mountains and the Night Elves of Stonetalon Moutains - Ruins of Eldre-thar. Here are two elven factions, high elf and night elf. How did they get there in the first place? And why are the nelves the leaders of the place, not the helves? Still, it would appear that the Ruins of Eldre-thar are a conclave where the nelves and the helves attempted to start a new life away from what had occurred at the sundering. This would indicate that the descendants of these undead elves were both Darnassian as well as Suramarian (nelves and helves). —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Taliesinceawlin (talk · contr).````

The page is only about the gameplay faction tbh Xporc (talk) 07:27, 2 July 2019 (UTC)
