Misplaced Discussion

There seems to be a large amount of discussion in the Main Article debating the usefulness of Cleave. In the interest of professionalism, it would be best to either move them to the Analysis page, or remove them entirely. Qlmmb2086 23:22, 12 December 2007 (UTC)

Lawl, it insists it's poor during tanking. Tclap and GCD abilities are of course, far better, but protection is cheap, the 41pt is cheaper, focused rage is ridiculous, revenge is good as free, 9rage dev almost so. I have nice expertise and +hit, but I had my GCD spinning nonstop before that, reaching for HS/Cleave dumps in regular dungeons. You might argue for HSing over cleave in theorycraft, but in the chaos of watching multiple mobs like a clown juggling chainsaws, the simplicity of an autoattack modifier is nice among all the multi targetting GCD madness, trying to look for needed + throwing around the taunt/concblow/intercept/etc safety nets. DPS isn't my turf, but I'd imagine that an unnormalized instant swing without touching MS/WW cooldowns (or even the GCD) is nice while pricey. --WoWWiki-Falos (talk) 03:36, 4 June 2008 (UTC)
Everything from "Cleave is highly debated (but there is really nothing to debate, as shown below)." and on clearly needs to be removed altogether and perhaps placed here until a more wiki style piece can be written. JamesR (talk) 01:00, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
OK, I added a Clean-up tag to encourage someone to rewrite it and I'm not particularly qualified to do so myself. JamesR (talk) 01:15, 17 July 2008 (UTC)
I've done what I can to clean out the argument portion of the article, and added a reference to the Talk:Cleave/Analysis page to hopefully steer any further debating to the proper location instead. Qlmmb2086 (talk) 14:39, 6 August 2008 (UTC)

"Cleave is the warrior's first multiple target attack."

Actually that's Thunderclap at level 6, but it's more of a quibble. First weapon-based multiple target attack would be more correct, though.--Pittsburghmuggle (talk) 22:18, 2 June 2008 (UTC)
