Talk:Book of Medivh

When The Burning Crusade is released, I guess Kel'Thuzad's loot table will include Book of Medivh. Since Kel'thuzad have been a numerous times now and no book drops and Kel'thuzad had it in his possession in the ending of Warcraft III, I guess my theory might be correct. According to the Orc campaign in Beyond the Dark Portal, the Book of Medivh was stolen from Stormwind by traitors from Alterac, and Ner'zhul had to go all the way to Alterac to get it back. According to the Human campaign, Ner'zhul stole the Book of Medivh himself and never got any further into Azeroth. So which is correct? --Paulus 05:30, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

Both, Beyond the Dark Portal's campaigns are consecutive, with exception of the last mission in each one. Essentially Ner'zhul has some of his forces track where the book went. There are several missions trying to find out where it was taken, finally leading up to orc forces going to Alterac, and contacting the human mage there. In the human campaign that takes place just after, the orcs already have the book, and have already given it to Ner'zhul. Several of the quests involve the humans trying to take it back.Baggins 05:44, 3 December 2007 (UTC)

The human campaign begins before Ner'zhul invades Azeroth, though. And the 4th scenario makes it pretty clear that Ner'zhul, not the Alterac traitors, took the Book of Medivh from Stormwind: "A tearing of shadows heralded the arrival of the mighty orc shaman Ner'zhul and his guard of Death Knights within the royal library of New Stormwind. Unleashing their black magiks, they slaughtered all who opposed them and then fled into the night with their prize, the Book of Medivh." --Paulus 00:21, 4 December 2007 (UTC)

Alright as far as I know most sources that bring up the artifact thing say Ner'zhul sent orcs to retrieve them for him. No other source mentions if he was with the groups himself. I'm pretty sure the traiters of Alterac connection has been referenced a few times since Beyond the Dark Portal.Baggins 04:51, 4 December 2007 (UTC)
