The ring has the wrong amount of armor... should be 300 not 2

2.3 Items

I added the 2.3 merchandise in tables based on item type. Someone who knows a bit more about table formatting might could clean them up. I nested the tables in a larger table because I couldn't get them to post in 2 or 3 columns any other way on the page (they always ended up in a single row - resulting in a page that required extensive scrolling). It doesn't look bad, but I do wish the text wasn't so smallified. Obviously these items' links (along with a great many others added in 2.3) will have to be updated with the item info. so the tooltips appear when hovering over them. While I'd be glad to do them manually, I believe there's a bot that automates the process and makes it a lot easier.

Ultimately, I hope to be able to get the rest of the items on the page into similar tables to better match the format of most other loot listings on WoWwiki.

  • This item list is definitely handy, but I would like to arrange things so you can easily figure out what you want for your role (healing pally, tanking warrior, feral druid, resto druid, etc.) and what it costs. 'course these new items don't fit any patterns quite as well as the originals. Once it is figured out I may just move the big list at the top just because it will only be a reference as to what was added this patch. Brilliant start though. --Scyth02 01:59, 14 November 2007 (UTC)
    • As I filled the tables, I debated several organization schemes. The one you've started (by cost) was ultimately the one I determined to be the most reasonable, so I was pleased to see the tables you tweaked. I tried to figure out a way to break them up by spec or class, but organizing them by cloth, leather, etc managed to break them down into small enough groups that further 'classification' is unneccessary imo.
What I can't figure out though is why the items' info isn't showing as tooltips on mouseover. All their details have been updated and match the formats of other table items that mouseover properly. I'm beginning to think it may be somethin with my browser cookies or something.

      • Ya, the tooltip thing is bugging me to, and why is it the Eternium Rage-shackles work but not the other ones? I can't see any major difference. Anyways, I figured the tooltips should be done before doing any more tables. Once it is done I might just set up tables like the originals so that you can easily eye-ball what you need and the cost.
  • Some things seem to be missing. One of the cloth Cowls  [Mana-Binders Cowl] (Pre-2.3) is missing and the  [Shawl of Shifting Probabilities] (pre-2.3) is missing.

Pre-2.3 stuff

Is this stuff still available? if so, it probably should just be rolled into the table for the current stuff. If not, that should be clearly noted as such on the page. --Bobson 23:20, 5 January 2008 (UTC)

Remove the loot table

I propose to delete the table. It's huge, duplicated from another place, not very insightful, and incomplete, since the information from the other vendors is missing. --Batox 07:55, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Deliberately. When I tried to add the Smith Hauthaa stuff, it broke the page. See: [1] (scroll all the way to the bottom).
Where'd it get duplicated from? I thought we consolidated all of G'eras stuff here. If you've got improvement ideas, be bold and fix it. --k_d3 20:46, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Ok, I not only deleted the table, but I also redirected this page to the  [Badge of Justice] page. Initially I wanted to propose to even delete the entire page :D. The problem is that we simply cannot make one page containing all heroic gear. I know that this redirection is maybe not the best solution, but linking to one of the vendors isn't appropriate either :( --Batox 08:48, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Great, now there's no one-page list. Sad. Sysy (talk) 16:05, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

I put back the items to the page. Just use {{lootsure}} instead of {{loot}}.--g0urra[T҂C] 17:43, 24 May 2008 (UTC)

Table columns

I think it would be useful to add some additional columns to the tables here, indicating things like which NPC sells the item, and what "type" it is (i.e., melee DPS, healing, etc.). If there is some sort of Wiki-editor browser plug-in available that makes Wiki tables more like MS Excel, that would certainly be easier than adding in that information item-by-itme by hand...
