Population

"2,000 soldiers and wizards of Dalaran reside in Ambermill."

Umm, I'm pretty sure its population is 2,000, however that includes the natives, not just the soldiers and wizards that moved in later.Baggins 06:59, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Darn you Baggins! Everytime I decrease the number of articles needing citations, someone always adds more a day or two later!

All kidding aside, I think the person who wrote that just misinterpretated the information. I rewrote it to make it more accurate.--Austin P 14:43, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Right, sorry. What I meant was citizens who lived there already and the Dalaran forces that came along later. My mistake :/ --TM41 22:30, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Can you please give me an evidence for this? TheSatyr (talk) 23:24, January 3, 2010 (UTC)

Cata

Seems abit odd that the Forsaken would try to take Ambermill over as it is under the protection of Dalaran. Llamaman201 (talk) 18:44, July 26, 2010 (UTC)

When some forum posters personally asked Metzen during Blizzcon about this, Metzen replied that this was a mistake by the Silverpine quests designer who didn't know Dalaran was supposed to be neutral. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ujimasa Hojo (talk · contr). 12 November 2011

That's quite absurd when you think about it. Inv helmet 44.pngInv helmet 119.png MoneygruberTheGoblinChieftain of the Gentleman Tribe(talk contribs) 02:20, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
The Red Shirt Guy claims that that is what Metzen told him. I don't like that.--SWM2448 02:38, 12 November 2011 (UTC)
Red Shirt Guy also claimed Metzen said the attack on Ambermill was non-canon. I wonder whether this will be addressed in-game or not in the future.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Ujimasa Hojo (talk · contr).
That doesn't technically make sense. I understood why the Forsaken would invade Ambermill. Some Dalaran Mages stayed in the Allliance. And even if they were neutral tell me do you really think Sylvanas wouldn't attempt to raise them into undeath just to have them killed on the front lines? can anyone link a source for the previous statements? --Ijffdrie (talk) 06:04, 19 June 2012 (UTC)
This page. He says that Metzen says the Forsaken would not attack the neutral Kirin Tor (or the other way around), which they do. However, H [5-30] Breaking the Barrier calls them the "former Dalaran magi of Ambermill" implying that they went back to the Alliance. The excursion to slaughter the forces at Dalaran Crater is separate.--SWM2448 22:16, 19 June 2012 (UTC)

So Ambermill is actually abandoned after Forsaken questing? Shouldn't it be considered abandoned then with the status of the magi unknown? Ujimasa Hojo (talk) 09:15, 3 January 2014 (UTC)

The page currently says that in the second paragraph.--SWM2448 23:31, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
That's odd because, the village is not phased, like Pyrewood, after the quest-line is finished. The elements are still there and no mention of the village is said after the magi are revived. So... the village might have been abandoned or taken by those magi... but that's only a speculation.--Mordecay (talk) 23:36, 3 January 2014 (UTC)
