- Soul Cleave is a basic demon hunter spell in Hearthstone. The flavor text reads: "The way to a demon's soul is through its stomach."
Patch changes
Hotfix (2024-05-07): Damage reduced by 8%. - Patch 10.2.0 (2023-11-07): Damage increased by 23%.
- Patch 10.0.0 (2022-10-25): Rank 3 removed.
Patch 9.1.5 (2021-11-02): No longer maximum target capped and now deals reduced damage beyond 5 targets. - Hotfix (2020-11-25): The impact from Soul Cleave now has sound.
- Patch 9.0.2 (2020-11-17): Rank 3 added at level 56: Soul Cleave damage is increased by 10%.
- Patch 9.0.1 (2020-10-13): Now learned at level 10 (was 98). Rank 2 added at level 14: Heals you for an additional (50% of Attack power) for each Soul Fragment consumed.
Patch 8.2.0 (2019-06-25): Damage increased by 40%. - Patch 8.0.1 (2018-07-17): Now costs 30 Pain (was 25 to 50 Pain), and now only consumes up to 2 Soul Fragments within 25 yards (was all fragments).
Patch 7.2.5 (2017-06-13): Soul Cleave now costs 25 to 50 Pain (was 30 to 60), and now heals for 6.6 times Attack Power per 25 Pain spent. - Patch 7.1.5 (2017-01-10): Increased the damage of Soul Cleave by 9%.
- Patch 7.1.0 (2016-10-25): Distance from which Soul Fragments can be used has been increased to 25 yards (was 20 yards).
- Hotfix (2016-09-23): Soul Cleave's heal is no longer reduced in PvP.
