Silver Hand, Ebon Blade

Silver Hand, Ebon Blade is a short story by Raphael Ahad that won the 2010 Blizzard Global Writing Contest and is featured on the Blizzard Writing Contest website. In 2013, Micky Neilson stated that the short story may one day be canonized as In the Shadow of the Sun was. The story has not been officially mentioned since the Global Writing Contest and has never been republished by Blizzard, unlike In the Shadow of the Sun.

One of the scenes in the story is alluded to in the in-game dialogue between Darion and Alexandros Mograine in Keeper's Respite, in which Darion says "I once told Tirion that only a silver hand can wield an ebon blade", but Blizzard has made no statement on what this means for the canonicity of the story as a whole.
