Rune of the Nerubian Carapace is a death knight rune that can be made through [Runeforging]. It is the one-handed equivalent to [Rune of the Stoneskin Gargoyle], intended for use by death knight tanks.

Originally, this rune gave 13 Defense skill (compared to the 25 of the Stoneskin Gargoyle), but after the removal of the Defense stat in Patch 4.0.1, the bonus was changed to Armor instead.

Patch changes

• Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Removed.
  
• Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Now increases Stamina by 1% and Armor by 2%.

  Old: Increases Defense by 13 and Stamina by 1%.
