The strand of Queen Xekatha is the tale of the Reign of Blue.
In her time was born the shimmer worms, named so for the light they emit. These worms began as a pest infesting crops until they were transformed by the Grand Splicer Kizriith as a gift to his beloved queen.
Before the swing of the seventy-fifth pendulum, the pestilence of the Last Kingdom had become its most glorious form of art.
The trend of the dynasty was to encourage glimmer worms to grow across entire strands of webs, trapped in place for all to see, their blue light a new form of expression.
For the love of our queen, the Last Kingdom bathed in the blue light of her favorite art, and all was good.
