Project Audioblizz is the undertaking of Kyle McCarley to take the novels of the three franchises of Blizzard Entertainment-Diablo, StarCraft, and Warcraft-and perform them as audiobooks.

There are currently only two officially licensed audiobooks from these franchises: World of Warcraft: Stormrage by Richard A. Knaak and StarCraft II: Heaven’s Devils by William C. Dietz. These are the only two novels Kyle has stated he will not be performing for Project Audioblizz.

Project Audioblizz began on July 26 2010, when Kyle published his performance of the short story "StarCraft: Revelations" by Chris Metzen, in honor of the release of StarCraft 2: Wings of Liberty, which took place less than 24 hours after the first installment to Project Audioblizz was made available for download.

Just over one week later, Kyle published his first Warcraft audiobook, "Of Blood and Honor," also written by Chris Metzen. His plans are to release his first Diablo audiobook, "Demonsbane" by Robert B. Marks, followed by several of the short stories in both the StarCraft and Warcraft universes to increase the breadth of the project as quickly as possible. Shortly after that, he intends to continue work with Project Audioblizz by moving in to the longer, full length novels from all three franchises.

Kyle McCarley

Kyle McCarley, formerly known as Mickey C, is known for his works with the now extinct WoW Radio with The Donut Boys, including the radio play, The Chalice of Silvermoon, and the talk show, Happy Hour Tavern. When WoW Radio closed its doors, Kyle played a large part in the creation of Original Media for Gamers, OMFG.fm, and continues to not only host The Donut Shop with the previously mentioned Donut Boys, but also acts as the Chief Operating Officer of the company and holds one of three seats on the Board of Directors.

Kyle began Project Audioblizz in the hopes that he might be able to share Blizzard novels with gamers in a more readily accessible way and that he might garner more attention for himself in his professional career as a voice-over artist. Kyle has performed in a few Warcraft machinima productions, including The Chalice of Silvermoon and Return 2. More information about Kyle's voice-over career can be found at KyleMcCarley.com.
