Onyx Annulet is a quest reward from [70] The Forgotten Ring, part of the Zskera Vaults storyline in the Forbidden Reach. Much like the [Pocket-Sized Computation Device] from Mechagon Island, players will acquire Primordial stones that they can use to socket into the ring.
According to Researcher Imareth, the annulet was designed by Neltharion himself, and intended to empower his most elite and loyal scalecommanders... yet none were found worthy, and thus, the rings were left in the depths of his vaults. He designed the ring with three sockets to allow for maximum customization. Perhaps it is best that his followers were not offered this gift. Though the annulet presents myriad permutations of empowerment, accepting one would have meant further submission to his control. Hopefully, that is no longer the case.
Replacement annulets can be purchased from Imareth for 10x [Dormant Primordial Fragment].

Breaking down, upgrading, and crafting
Stones can be freely removed from the annulet by standing in front of the Primordial Jeweler's Kit in Morqut Village, collected from Zskera Vault: Az in [70] Primordial Embellishment, and using the Extra Action Button that appears:
- Pluck Out Primordial Stone — Pull out an ingrained Primordial Stone from an Onyx Anulet.
Unwanted stones can be broken down in front of Ham'urit, next to the jeweler's kit, into 6x [Dormant Primordial Fragment], also using an Extra Action Button:
- Break Primordial Stone — Smashes a Primordial Stone into pieces.
Ten fragments can then be used with an [Unstable Elementium] (from Jewelcrafters) to upgrade the item level of stones.
New stones can be created from Condensed elemental stones, that either can be found elsewhere in the Forbidden Reach or purchased from Researcher Imareth for 10 fragments each:
- [Condensed Arcane Magic]
- [Condensed Earth Magic]
- [Condensed Fire Magic]
- [Condensed Frost Magic]
- [Condensed Nature Magic]
- [Condensed Necromantic Magic]
- [Condensed Shadow Magic]
