Peasants helped the high elves fend off Arthas Menethil as he tried to attack their capital of Silvermoon City and the whole of Quel'Thalas in Warcraft III. It is a worker unit. It is produced at the high elf town hall, high elf keep and high elf castle.
They are extremely similar to human peasants, sharing the same name and voice, but with a different appearance. They can build a different selection of buildings from human peasants (including several high elf-exclusive buildings instead of human or dwarf buildings) and lack the Call to Arms ability (so cannot become Militia). They benefit from Lumber Harvesting research just like human Peasants.
Possessing one with a Banshee during The Fall of Silvermoon allows the construction of the high elf military buildings, including the unique High Elven Barracks and High Elven Guard Tower, but also some normal Alliance buildings such as an Altar of Kings.
In Warcraft III: The Frozen Throne, the similar blood elf worker appears.

Return Resources
- Return the carried resources to the nearest town hall.
Build Structure
- Brings up a list of the available buildings that you may choose to construct.
High elven peasants can build the following buildings:
- Town Hall (trains high elven peasants and lacks Call to Arms)
- High Elven Barracks
- High Elven Guard Tower
- Blacksmith
- Farm
- Altar of Kings
- Arcane Sanctum
- Lumber Mill
Peasants build from the outside, so it is possible to pause construction by moving the peasant away. Additionally, multiple Peasants can collaborate to build the same building (known as powerbuilding), decreasing the build time but costing additional resources.
Range | Powerbuild Cost | Powerbuild Time | Allowed Targets |
---|---|---|---|
5 | 15% of Build cost | 60% of Build time | Structure, Player Units |
Trivia
- Despite high elf bases in the campaign featuring High Elven Farms, high elf peasants can only build regular Farms.
