Tommy Newcommer, or Nyorloth, was a Blizzard employee and Community Manager for the World of Warcraft story forums. He held the title of "Blizzard Employee" and claimed to not be a member of the Community team. An overview of the forum activity by Nyorloth can be seen here (EU) and here (US).

After hosting "Ask CDev #3: Questions!", he was apparently laid off, as implied in a Twitter post here, which may relate to an announcement that Blizzard had laid off 600 employees. Omacron, who worked as an intern for Blizzard, mentioned that he was laid off, and that he was the only one working on the Ask CDev answers at the time.
