Three mooncrystals used to be the key of Quel'Thalas' defenses, being all together part of the Key of the Three Moons. This item is gained when Arthas Menethil gets the first crystal during the undead mission of the same name by destroying an Altar of Kings.

Ground description: This is one part of the Key of Three Moons.

Inventory description: Cut from the emerald Eye of Jennala, it opens the mind of the Gate Keeper.

Notes

The three Mooncrystals form the Key of the Three Moons, while two of them create a Partial Key of the Three Moons.
