How to deal with them
These birds can grab you, ascend to an average altitude, and drop you. However, they don't pick you very high, so you should survive the fall if you aren't already wounded.
Patch changes
Hotfix (2012-11-06): Monstrous Plainshawks are now more peace loving.
This essentially means they're hostile as before, but they don't attack on sight, unless provoked.- Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Added.
