- Were you looking for maps of places in the World of Warcraft or melee attack power?
In World of Warcraft, the term map usually refers to the world map, accessible from a map button on the minimap in the very top right corner (or using the default key shortcut: "M").
Sometimes people use the term 'map' when referring to the minimap or the Map & Quest Log.
Resources
- Atlas is an addon that grants access to maps that would normally not be available in-game. The package includes maps for all the instances, flight path maps and more. Be wary that those maps are NOT interactive (i.e. you cannot see your current position nor your teammates).
- WyriMaps.net/wow is a in-browser, fullscreen interactive Google Map of Azeroth and beyond.
- There are several other past iterations of Azeroth available as well, including Azeroth as it was current during Wrath of the Lich King, Warlords of Draenor, and Legion. The current version of Azeroth includes "continents" up to the Dragon Isles and reflects some changes to the world that are current in-lore such as the Lion's Wake in Tirisfal Glades that appeared with the events of Battle for Lordaeron while other zones are not their current lore look such as Arathi Highlands is not its post-Warfront version and the Vale of Eternal Blossoms is still sha-scarred (as this was healed with the patch 8.3.0 phase).
Map corners
Map corners or map brackets[1] are used prominently on the world maps in World of Warcraft, with each new expansion since Wrath of the Lich King using their own design. The brackets are usually found in the top left and bottom right corners of the maps while Mists of Pandaria had them in all four corners, making the maps feel like a scroll.
