Mangy Wolves are wolf mobs that can be found north of the main road in Elwynn Forest, from Forest's Edge to the eastern shore of Crystal Lake.
The ones in the area between Northshire and Goldshire often travel alongside a Young Wolf. These Mangy Wolf/Young Wolf pairs are linked; if one is attacked, the other will aggro as well, no matter the distance between them.
Patch changes
Patch 8.2.5 (2019-09-24): Now scales up to level 60. 
Patch 7.3.5 (2018-01-16): Now scales from level 3 - 20. Previous level was 5 - 6. 
Patch 4.2.0 (2011-06-28): Diseased Young Wolves recovered back into Young Wolves. 
Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08): Their Young Wolf buddies have become Diseased Young Wolves.
