Karius was an old night elf refugee who had been attacked by a felbeast while looking for food. He managed to survive due to having previously served Black Rook Hold. Tyrande was able to heal him of the beast's poisons, and Karius and his wife greatly thanked her for it.

It is unknown whether he or his wife survived the War of the Ancients.
