Ixlid, Fungal Lord is an earth elemental featured in the Kobolds & Catacombs expansion for Hearthstone. He is an ancient elemental spirit animating some of the rot and decay in the swampier parts of the catacombs.[1]
In a tale told by a dwarven bard, while adventuring through the catacombs, Marin the Fox was deposited by an underground river on the edge of a cavern blooming with huge, glowing blue and purple mushrooms. Marin noted that the feared Fungal Lord Ixlid was rumored to frequent such places, which he felt was an excellent reason to avoid them.[2]
Trivia
- Despite being an earth elemental, Ixlid resembles a bog beast.
