Incandescent Essence is the quest reward from N [70R] The Power of Dreams, Awoken, which requires repeatedly defeating bosses in Amirdrassil, the Dream's Hope on all difficulties. The quest is time-gated and the earliest players can complete it is the week of 12 December 2023.

The enchant scales based on the item level of the helm it is applied to.

Effects

The enchant provides a different effect for each role:

Tanks
Inv helm circlet firelands d 01.png Smolderon's Delusions of Grandeur — Taking damage has a chance to fill you with Blazing Rage, causing your abilities to deal 448 additional Fire damage split between nearby enemies for 12 sec and shielding you for the damage dealt. Damage increased per enemy struck, up to 5.
Healers
10 2 raidability burningroots.png Larodar's Fiery Reverie — Your healing has a chance to apply Bramble Barrier to your target, absorbing 7189 damage and causing 867 Nature damage to attackers when struck. If the barrier is broken, the target is healed for 6294 over 6 sec. If it expires without breaking, the target gains 146 Versatility for 10 sec.
Melee
Sha ability rogue bloodyeye nightmare.png Igira's Cruel Nightmare — Your attacks have a low chance to draw torment from your victim to manifest a cruel blade based on the number of nearby enemies, dealing 7551 Shadowflame damage over 6 sec to solitary foes or 5988 Fire damage split between all nearby enemies. Damage increased per enemy struck, up to 5.
Ranged and casters
Inv dreamowl firemount.png Tindral's Fowl Fantasia — Your harmful spells and abilities have a chance to summon a parliament of blazing spirit owls to divebomb your target, dealing 4913 Fire damage split between all nearby targets. Damage increased per enemy struck, up to 5.

Patch changes

  • Dragonflight Hotfix (2023-12-13): Incandescent Essence will now be soulbound when used. It is no longer usable on Account Bound items and its combat effects will only trigger for level 70 characters.
  • Dragonflight Patch 10.2.0 (2023-11-07): Added.
