Improved Fireball is a mage talent that reduces casting time of the [Fireball] spell by 0.1 seconds per rank, up to 0.5 seconds at rank 5. This talent significantly increases the DPS of Fireball, making it a valuable talent for mages that use the spell frequently.

Patch changes

• Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Removed.
  
• Patch 2.0.6 (2007-01-23): Damage coefficient reduction removed from Improved Fireball. (Source)

  Each rank of "Improved Fireball" now reduces Fireball's spell damage coefficient by 2%. Prior to this patch, the talent only reduced cast time.
