Ice Shards is the Frost mage secondary stat attunement, focusing on Multistrike.
Patch changes
Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Removed. 
Patch 6.0.2 (2014-10-14): Redesigned and reintroduced. No longer a talent, now the Frost mage secondary stat attunement.
- Previous effect: Adds a chill effect to your Blizzard spell. This effect lowers the target's movement speed by 25/40%. Lasts 2 sec. In addition, increases the range of your Ice Lance spell by 2/5 yards.

Patch 5.0.4 (2012-08-28): Removed. 
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Redesigned. Now applies a movement speed reduction effect to the Blizzard spell and increases the range of Ice Lance. 
Patch 0.9 (2004-08-17): Added 3 additional ranks.
