The Countess tasked Maw Walkers to kill Lord Andrei but make it look like an accident. In order to convince The Countess to attend the Ember Court, she sent Maw Walkers to disguise themselves as a member of House Iremoore and steal the House Briarbane mascot. Their assassins try to sabotage the Ember Court.
