Goog day!

I would like to know. Is there any possible way to...DOWNLOAD WOWPEDIA...for my own off-line reading? =) Its really interesting for me to study the warcraft universe and I would like to do this even when I don't have internet (yea! This badass). --Flethgin (talk) 06:00, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

There's an extension here that might belp with this if the Wowpedia admins decide to implement it, although their may be some complications regarding fair use etc. Gazimoff (talk) 15:28, 3 November 2010 (UTC)

Well... Maybe U can get an answer from admins? =) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Flethgin (talk · contr).

I'm not an admin, but the legal ramifications of trying to effectively publish Wowpedia content would probably stop anything like that. Also, there are various webcrawler utilities that could be used to make an offline copy of Wowpedia (albeit it would probably take quite awhile) for your use that don't require any particular moves by the admins.
Turning on the aforementioned extension would be much more justifiable if someone could demonstrate that it isn't disruptive (functionally or performance-wise) and does a good job for the purpose you want. --Gengar orange 22x22.png Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 3:09 PM PST 7 Nov 2010
Meh, an extension to do the same thing you could do with free programs on the user side doesn't seem like the best idea. --Pcj (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 22:11, 7 November 2010 (UTC)
Have you tried Google Gears? it stores the data onto your deskop for offline browsing. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Mosios (talk · contr) on 07:41, 14 November 2010.
FYI regarding Google Gears: Chrome for Mac OS is not supported.
Kind of ironic. --Gengar orange 22x22.png Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 1:07 AM PST 14 Nov 2010
