Well World of Warcraft: The Magazine Issue #5 has been arriving in mailboxes as of this date and it brings a tremendous amount of lore with it. This out of my league when it comes to editing but as an overview we have...

-Cenarius, Freya and the Tribunal of Ages all confirmed to Brann that Night Elves evolved from the Dark Trolls

-Tauren do predate the titans (even though the recent ask CDev implied they didn't)

-Pandaren have a society older than that of the night elves

-Curse of Flesh IS what turned Vrykul into humans

-The orcs drove a race of giants to extinction to build their temples, but this race was not gronn, technically as...

-Earth Giants apparently were turned into Gronn who then turned into ogres and ettin.

-The Ettin are from Draenor and are a "missing link" in the evolution of ogres

-The Magnataur are related to Cenarius

-Grell were created by Aessina (Brann says that she believes so, but can't remember much about creating them)

-He believes Kaja'mite might have sinister origins. Specifically it says "Need tae research that ore. Somethin's nae right about it."

-Kobolods are actually an evolved form of trogg.

-There are no records of frost dwarves in Ulduar, so Brann speculates they emerged from Uldaman with the regular dwarfs and then migrated to Northrend.

-Pandaren claim to be older than furblogs and are not related to them. Brann claims that he he learned this from Chen who's "puns are infectious".

-Brann believes all non titan races except trolls and their descendants are the offspring of various ancients. Tauren came from a "bull ancient", gorlocs from a a "frog ancient" (they later evolved into murlocs), Tuskarr from a "walrus ancient", harpies from Aviana, ect.

-Northrend is still crawling with iron dwarves, giants and vrykul. Thorim and Mimiron are trying to "fix 'em".

-Dragonkin are mortal races turned into half dragons by the flights. The process isn't voluntary, dragons just seem to abduct people and forcibly transform them. This is how there are so many black dragonspawn.

-The titans created five types of giants: Fire, Ice, Sea, Storm and Stone. They've all been affected by the curse of flesh, but not to the same degree as the mortal races.

-The absence of the Shadowtooth dark troll clan is explained. "Twilight's Hammer wiped 'em out, it seems. Waitin' fer the mess in Hyjal tae sort itself out before checkin' those caves."

-The Drakkari tribe is all but extinct. "Tryin' tae eat yer gods will do that."

-There are no records of frost dwarves in Ulduar, so Brann speculates they emerged from Uldaman with the regular dwarfs and then migrated to Northrend.

-Brann speculates that the Arakkoa were created by Anzu.

Gonna wait for my issue (hopefully it'll be there when I get home today) before adding this stuff. I trust Omacron to be accurate, but even he said he was going off what other people said; I'd rather the information be first-hand than third-hand. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 22:10, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Very true. I'm hands off for now but figured for something like this we should have a place to compile and compare information. Particularly when it comes to creating and filling the World of warcraft: The Magazine #5 page and using it for citationsMarbo1 (talk) 22:21, 15 August 2011 (UTC)

Just to note that all references on this magazine should be listed with <ref name="WoWM5">''[[World of Warcraft: The Magazine Issue 5]]''</ref>.--Ashbear160 (talk) 01:22, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Of course it should be cited as World of Warcraft: The Magazine Issue 5. What else would we be citing it as? -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 01:25, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Just in case someone forgets ;)--Ashbear160 (talk) 01:30, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Ugh.--SWM2448 01:58, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Man Brann really liked to speculate about ancients, how are we going to solve that? Apparently Lobster, Bull, Panda, Hyena Ancient among others.--Ashbear160 (talk) 02:02, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
If you have the magazine, just list them on the ancient page.--SWM2448 02:03, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
I saw a scan on Sol that mentioned a lobster ancient http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/7295/ianwow016.jpg --Ashbear160 (talk) 02:07, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Wrong Pic that's uncorrupted sargeras http://img809.imageshack.us/img809/8513/ianwow018.jpg --Ashbear160 (talk) 02:08, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
About the titan pictures i think we should move the older pictures into for example: Aman'thulRPG.jpg--Ashbear160 (talk) 02:37, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
Ok i moved them all to a new file containing RPG as a sufix(it's called a sufix right?)--Ashbear160 (talk) 03:00, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

You and Insane Guy of Doom could have asked to have them moved. Or called them something else. There is non-canon, and then there are image histories.--SWM2448 03:18, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Sorry i couldn't find the move tool(is it limited to admins) but it's already pretty late and i wanted to see the last two images.edit:sleepy ashen is easily confused--Ashbear160 (talk) 03:49, 16 August 2011 (UTC)
There was no reason to replace or have the older images moved.. newer images can just use a new name, an easy and simple solution, especially since many of the RPG images are used in templates. I've gone through and fixed them. Snake.gifSssssssssssssssssssssssss Coobra sig3.gifFor Pony! (Sssss/Slithered) 05:22, 16 August 2011 (UTC)

Just wanted to note that some of the comments in the opening post here weren't entirely accurate (IE, ettin aren't a missing link, rather Brann thinks there's a missing link between ogres and ettin), but I assume that the actual pages are pretty readily available now.
