Is there a way we could get the link for printable versions of pages to leave out the Video section of a page (or better yet, not embed the videos but have a URL)? The videos are helpful to be on a page, but I like to print pages and read them on free time, and the videos are just major ink killers.
Even a way to collapse that section before you print would be good. — gilmorejaTalk!≒∁on! 12:15, 20 December 2010 (UTC)
- There is probably some JS that could be put in your personal JS page (User:Gilmoreja/darkvector.js) that could hide the display of those sections and their content. Pcj could probably whip something up for you. -- Fandyllic (talk · contribs) 8:05 PM PST 20 Dec 2010
- I have always been a personal fan of using the media attribute in CSS to design specific overriding style rules that will apply only to the print version, such that if you click print on any ordinary user agent (browser) you will automatically have that kind of stuff removed, without any requirement to create alternative versions of the page or any kind of server- or client-side scripting.
