Quick question: What source says that the Temple of Elune (or any temple) became the Tomb of Sargeras? It makes sense, but was it made up?--SWM2448 01:48, 12 February 2011 (UTC)

- A while ago, I asked this on the official story forums here, and the consensus seems to be that is has never been stated. However, the Tomb seems to have been an elaborate temple. I'll move it to a speculation section. Can anyone confirm what Gul'dan says about it in Tides of Darkness? I will not add anything that I can not confirm myself.--SWM2448 17:16, 18 March 2011 (UTC)
From ToD, page 299:
Gul'dan was standing at the base of an ancient temple, its outer walls barely visible beneath centuries of moss, fungus, coral and barnacles. He could still see traces of architecture that matched what he had glimpsed in the Quel'Thalas (sic), both in grandeur and style. Elves had crafted this structure, and once it had been beautiful and ornate, he was sure.
And yes, it was referred to as "the Quel'Thalas", possibly some kind of typo that escaped the editors, heh. There is no definitive mention, by Maiev in WC3:TFT or the text of ToD, of the temple being dedicated to Elune (though who else WOULD it be dedicated to, save perhaps to Azshara herself...she was nuts, after all), but it was a temple. --
