On the Thassarian page, this trivia point has caused contention:

  • Even while he was in service of the Lich King, Thassarian seemed to be a noble person. After sending the player to rescue Koltira Deathweaver — against the code of the Scourge death knight — Orbaz Bloodbane asked why he cared, also insinuating his dislike of Koltira as Orbaz thought he was a blood elf. Thassarian replied that, though they may have been hated enemies in life, "In death, we are brothers."
    • Thassarian's aforementioned line makes little sense as Koltira Deathweaver is actually a High Elf who are allies of humans and friendship between a human and high elf would not be considered unusual. Thassarian did fight Koltira at one point, but only as an undead slave of the Lich King.

N'Nanz and Copperblast have undergone an edit war on this page regarding this point.

The point being tossed back and forth is in part whether Koltira was a high elf, or a blood elf at the time in question. As I understand it, the difference is one of philosophy or political alignment, rather than necessarily addiction to magic. I would be interested in the consensus on that issue.

On the issue of Thassarian's sympathy for Koltira, I think the issue is academic. Thassarian is specifically quoted as having sympathy for Koltira due to their common status as Death Knights.

For the purposes of Koltira's article, too, I think it's largely irrelevant except as a minor footnote; Koltira is identified at several points as a blood elf, so despite being a high elf at the time of his death he clearly thinks of himself as a blood elf now. -- Dark T Zeratul (talk) 22:49, August 10, 2010 (UTC)
