Forum:Itemtip prototyping?

I am obviously doing something wrong, in making this user space page. If I remove the itemtip entirely, the "DEFAULTLINK tags are not allowed in this namespace" message goes away. Difficult to prototype a page if I do that, though.
The usual "doc=" parameter is not quelling whatever issue is arising. Any advice? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 22:32, 24 August 2011 (UTC)
- For a non-template prototype page? something that I'd normally just tinker around with in my user space? --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 22:19, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- Well, you should be able to use Project:Sandbox for the things not requiring edits to the template. --Pcj (T •C ) 23:17, 25 August 2011 (UTC)
- Appears that I get the same error/warning notice when using a wowpedia sandbox page as I do in my user space. *sigh* --Eirik Ratcatcher (talk) 00:06, 26 August 2011 (UTC)

- Itemtip includes a DEFAULTLINK tag to customize incoming links to item pages. Only pages in the Main namespace are currently allowed to customize incoming links; so, trying to include itemtip in User or Template namespace results in that warning. You're free to ignore it -- or you could use /Dev sub-pages if you need to. — foxlit (talk) 21:26, 27 August 2011 (UTC)
