I have made a template for the employees of Blizzard, but I want to see what everyone thinks before adding it to the articles. The template is here: {{Blizzard employee}}. The main reason that I'm doing this is because we can't have every voice actor or employee actualiced after they left Blizzard or before they joined. Or maybe we could but it would take us many unecessary work as wikipedia do that. Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 21:58, 27 May 2009 (UTC)

I don't think the template is really necessary, for the similar templates for the Guild and Server pages it is mainly to point out that any "lore" in that article is not canon and is basically fan-fiction. I can't see how that mistake would be made with the Blizzard employee articles, simply don't put any non-Blizzard work on those pages. --Pcj (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 22:01, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Ok, but then shall I remove the non-Blizzard information from articles like Michael McConnohie? Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 22:08, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
It is useful as context, just as long as it doesn't become a complete biography. --Pcj (TDrop me a line!C207,729 contributions and counting) 22:15, 27 May 2009 (UTC)
Very well, then I'll try to expand them and remove the stub template from the articles if all their employments by Blizzard are covered. Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 02:39, 28 May 2009 (UTC)
It might be nice to have an infobox with fields to distinguish people who were permanent employees of Blizzard from contractors or known ex-employees, but that would be much more work than a tag. Also, I've never been comfortable calling contractors "employees". In the legal realm that is known to be trouble. --Gengar orange 22x22.pngBeware the sneaky smile! Fandyllic (talk · contr) 11:40 AM PST 29 May 2009
I think if known, it would be nice to mark contractors separately. However, coming from the world of being a contractor, we speak "as the client" and are just as responsible (if not moreso) for what we say. If that's any help. -Howbizr (talk) 14:47, 1 June 2009 (UTC)

Note, for articles about real people, we should be aware of Wikipedia's biographies of living persons policy as a rough guide as to what is acceptable (in the sense of privacy, accuracy, etc). Kirkburn  talk  contr 16:08, 1 June 2009 (UTC)
