The Community teams are dead. I have a proposal for what to do with them at User:Sandwichman2448/Sandbox3. Just deleting them as is would leave a mess. I think that they should be merged into various policies and guidelines, archived if necessary, have the links cleaned up, and then get rid of them. Revival is a small possibility. The "Disassembly?" section itself is a work in progress, but I stand by the rest. What are everyone's thoughts on the fate of the teams?--SWM2448 20:16, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
- I second your notion that the community teams have died a silent death, and I agree with your proposal. Good work! AMBER(RΘCK) 22:30, October 21, 2009 (UTC)
- Yeah, they seem dead. I tried to join the Watchdogs a while ago so that I could revert bandalims easier, but I never got an answer, another indicator that they are not active anymore. I think your proposal is good. Benitoperezgaldos (talk) 00:34, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
- I've come up with several ways to revamp the Bookkeepers over the past two years, but for a variety of reasons (people leaving, retcons, degree status, spontaneous tauren combustion) they haven't really worked. Lore is essentially maintained in the same way: dedicated users thrashing things out, with me swooping in to provide a sharp blow to the head where warranted. The only future I can see for the Bookkeepers is as club title or something that we give to dedicated lore editors.
- As for the rest of them, I generally feel the same way- they did their job back when they were created (waay back in 2005), but we've since grown into alternative systems.--Ragestorm (talk · contr) 15:15, October 22, 2009 (UTC)
