Consider the following:

Ignoring that Kezan was replaced with Pandaria, here are a few things that I noticed...

  • The Lost Isles have been around since Warcraft III, or at least they are probably derived from existing map-filler
  • Zandalar and Tel'Abim have not moved for their entire history
  • The Northern islands are the Broken Isles, though cross-referencing the RPG map (non-canon, but clearly what Blizzard was going with at the time) puts them on the map twice
  • Plunder Isle is gone (for now), and so is this mysterious second Broken Isles...

I think that sounds about right. One thing I wondered though. The map from chronicle, which is the current canon, tells us the location of the land masses on the map. This doesn't necessarily mean that islands not on the map have been retconned out. That's how I understand it at least. Or was the chronicle map presented as a definitive map of all current land masses? PeterWind (talk) 06:37, 30 March 2016 (UTC)
