- Cannot be affected by Divine Shield, Hand of Protection or Lay on Hands.
- Duration: 30 seconds
Forbearance is a 30 second debuff on the receiver of the spells [Divine Shield],
[Blessing of Protection], and
[Lay on Hands].
The receiver cannot be affected by those spells until Forbearance fades out.
Patch changes
Patch 7.0.3 (2016-07-19): Duration reduced from 1 minute to 30 seconds.
- While
[Hand of Protection] has been replaced by
[Blessing of Protection], the debuff still mentions Hand of Protection.
- While
Patch 4.0.6 (2011-02-08): The duration has been lowered to 1 minute, down from 2.
[Lay on Hands] now causes Forbearance on the target. It used to only cause it when cast on the paladin. Since only
[Divine Shield], Lay on Hands and
[Hand of Protection] cause Forbearance, the tooltips have been adjusted to better explain the mechanic.
Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Forbearance affect no longer includes Divine Protection, and no longer restricts the use of Avenging Wrath.
Patch 3.3.0 (2009-12-08):
[Lay on Hands] now causes Forbearance if the paladin casts it on his or herself.
Patch 3.0.8 (2009-01-20):
[Divine Shield],
[Divine Protection], and Avenging Wrath cannot be used within 30 seconds of each other anymore. Forbearance removed from Avenging Wrath.
Hotfix (2008-10-31): Duration reduced to 2 minutes. Avenging Wrath causes Forbearance again.
Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Duration increased to 3 minutes. Avenging Wrath no longer causes Forbearance.
