Kaniuga spoke about this piece in his video Life as a Wrath of the Lich King Concept Artist (starting at 18:53):
- "Still really early on in development, we decided that we were gonna have these large underground nerubian structures, and I wanted to have them kind of flooded with ice. So you'd see these massive icebergs and icicles hanging down into these cavernous abandoned shafts. And these were kind of temples that-- The intention was to kind of make them look like some of the undead structures, but they were kind of covered and they were buried underneath a lot of the ice."
