This piece was included in Kaniuga's 2017 video Life as a Blizzard Concept Artist - Art Tour The Burning Crusade (at 5:17). He said of it:
"A lot of the shape language that you see for the naaru actually derived from some of my earliest sketches, where I was just doing these kind of shapes that were... organic, but then they had a kind of a symmetry to them. These early sketches of the naaru would then go on to inspire, of course[...]"
At this point the video switches to a new image, and he continues:
"[...] Tempest Keep, as well as the Exodar interior."
