The Extinguishing Mixture was used by prospective Blood Knight Masters to extinguish the eternal flame of the Alonsus Chapel in Stratholme.

The reagents required were collected from the third-to-last and second-to-last quests of the blood elf paladin's epic mount quest chain. The  [Tyr's Hand Holy Water] could be found in the Abbey in Tyr's Hand. The  [Arcane Catalyst] was purchased from Zalle in Silvermoon City's Bazaar for 50. The  [Crepuscular Powder] was purchased from Darlia, the poisons vendor in Silvermoon's Murder Row, for 150. The  [Azerothian Diamond] could be found from thorium veins. The  [Pristine Black Diamond] dropped in high-level instances.
