Empowered Frostbolt is a mage talent that increases [Frostbolt]'s spell power bonus by 5/10%, and reduces its cast time by 0.1/0.2 sec. It is most effective at later levels, when mages have a high amount of spell damage from gear.

Patch changes

• Patch 4.0.1 (2010-10-12): Removed.
  
• Patch 3.2.0 (2009-08-04): Instead of increasing critical strike chance by 2/4%, this talent now reduces the cast time of Frostbolt by 0.1/0.2 seconds.
  
• Patch 3.0.2 (2008-10-14): Reduced to 2 ranks, increases damage by 5/10% of spell power and increases critical hit chance by 2/4%.
  
• Patch 2.0.1 (2006-12-05): Added.
