Dread Corsair is a buff applied by Dread Captain DeMeza to players who raise a glass with her during Pirates' Day, awarding players with a 12-hour pirate costume that persists through death, but not shapeshifting. The buff is unique in that, unlike most, it adapts to the character's race and gender. Other buffs generally adapt to neither, or only gender.
The application of this buff is the requirement of the world events achievement 
The Captain's Booty.
