Category talk:Function Libraries
Categories
I'm thinking that this page's organization is very weak. Basicly you're making an alphabetical list of all the libraries, then dumping that on the addon maker. I think sub-categories for types would really go a long way, and retain the benefits of people being able to self-clasify easily. A manually edited list would probably be best, but is less self-managed. Each library page should also mention its sub-category, the person/team maintaining it, and a link to a self-standing download. Some kind of indication if a library is a 'open' or 'closed' effort should also be made, as all our current libraries are 'closed' in both major contributions and ownership/control. The Main Page links could then be replaced with the major sub-categories. Could we get some brainstorming on this page on what those sub-categories might be?

This page is way, way out of date. Some of the libraries haven't been updated in over a year. This section needs to go.

I made an effort to clean this up a little and add subcategories for all the functions. It helps a little, imo. But, yeah, the documentation is sorely out of date, so anyone trying to rely on it may be in for a bit of pain.
