Canopic Jar

From Warcraft Wiki
Jump to navigation Jump to search

Canopic Jars are common tol'vir artifacts. They require 45 Tol'vir Archaeology Fragments to solve, thus requiring a minimum archaeology skill of 450. Up to two  [Tol'vir Hieroglyphic] keystones may be used to aid in solving this artifact.

Description

This jar contains the petrified organs of Emperor Ninjter. He apparently died only a few years into what was hoped would be a glorious reign.

Contains

This item usually contains a  [Mummified Organ], but can also contain  [Recipe: Vial of the Sands] for alchemists only. The player's Cataclysm Alchemy skill does not need to be 75 to find the recipe. It is not a 100% drop for alchemists; the drop rate is estimated to be in the 5-10% range.

Notes

  • Instead of auto-looting each jar you get, open the jar to check what's inside. If there is no recipe, save the jar in your inventory or bank, and wait until the next time the game is patched. The contents of the jar will reset, giving you another chance to find the recipe. Each extra jar you store away will give you that many more chances to find one.

Patch changes

  • Cataclysm Hotfix (2010-12-15): Canopic Jars are no longer poor quality and now show as white (standard) items.
  • Cataclysm Patch 4.0.3a (2010-11-23): Added.
